Manicuring Your Nails
The most basic care for our nails requires only a little cleaning and trimming. For sure, there are persons who don’t bother to put any coat or design with their nails because they deem that having long and fashionable nails can hamper on the accomplishment of their day-to-day tasks. However, learning how to manicure nails can be a very good vehicle to have your own nails cleaned or help your friends do it. The very first thing to consider in learning how to manicure nails is to make sure that all the tools you are going to need are free from dirt or rust. The tool to manicure nails should be stainless and cleaned. It is advisable to sterilize it first. There is a tendency that some part of our cuticles can be punctured, resulting to some small bleeding. It always helps if the tools are clean to prevent some possible infections.
After your tools are properly sanitized, you are now ready to learn how to manicure nails.
Here are some helpful procedures:
1.You will need a complete manicure kit that include nail polish remover or acetone, a mild soap and a bowl of warm water, nail cutter, file, pushers and nippers, cotton and towels.
2.Trim and file your nails to a certain shape. When filing your nails, do it in one direction. Filing it back and forth may make your nails weaker.
3.Soften the cuticles and the nails by soaking it in a bowl of warm water. Do this for three minutes or more.
4.Put a small amount of cuticle remover on top of your nails. Gently scratch them to remove the dead skin cell over the nails. Use the nipper to cut off the dead skin cells around the nail tips.
5.Remove the dirt using nail buffer and then apply a few drops of cuticle oil. Just make sure that the cuticle oil is not made up of mineral oil.
6.You can also apply lotion and do some simple massage on the forearms and hands. A few strokes can gently relax your “customer”.
7.Apply the base coat. Let it dry. Using a popular nail polish will provide better results.
8.Apply the second coat. Remove any overrun on the side by wiping it with a nail polish corrector.
9.Let the coat dry.
Be extra careful with your nails while the coat is still wet so that you will spare yourself from the hassle of reapplying the coat. Learning how to manicure fingernails requires practice. This means that you have to do it with several fingernails. Natural nail manicure requires extra care because you have to deal with the small pieces of dead skin cells. You should also be careful not to puncture your cuticles.
After you have mastered the processes involved in nail manicure, you can adopt extra manicure nail art for the full satisfaction of your “customer”. But before you apply your art; your customer must be willing to put that nail art on his or her nails. Better yet, plan a list of nail art that you can be very good at. Avoid any fancy art with which you have a little practice. It can’t do you any good.
Remember that if the purpose of learning how to manicure nails is to provide you some small income, you should be fully equipped with the materials needed. Another great addition is that you should be able to do it in the quickest possible time so that you don’t have to let your other “customers” wait for long hours before you can do them your manicure services. Just make sure that quick isn’t equated with poor service.
